Meditation for Beginners Course
The aim of this course is to offer an opportunity for those who have not practiced meditation before and to learn techniques that are simple and easy to practice.
This course is open to all those who are interested in learning about basic Buddhist meditation techniques and practice. The course is designed for those who have not attended any our previous retreats before and those whose understanding is just at the beginning and ‘curious’ stage.
The duration of the course is for 7 days which includes one day of travel to and from the retreat venue. The course offers structured periods of meditation throughout the day with the Venerable Monks giving instruction on Meditation for Beginners and basic Buddhist principles for self-development. There is also time scheduled in for exercise, stretching before class and personal time.

Meditation for Beginners Course Venue
The venue is Suan Pa Himmawan Meditation Retreat Centre, Loei province, northeastern Thailand.
Meditation for Beginners Course Trip Details
Registration and bus check in start at 12.30 on every first day of each retreat. Meeting point is at Visitor area, Dhammakaya temple, Pathum Thani. Bus leaves the temple at 13.00. It takes about 8 hours traveling and will arrive at the retreat centre at 21.00. Then, get room’s key….sleep in peace…and start meditation retreat programme in the next morning.
On every last day of each retreat, bus leaves the meditation retreat centre at 12.30 and will arrive at the Dhammakaya temple at 20.30.
Please note that the meditation retreat centre is not been located in a downtown area. There is no public transportation to the location. For these reasons, we provide round trip transportation from our Bangkok headquarters (Dhammakaya temple) and the meditation retreat center.
